But wait a minute… what about checking in?! Practicing mindfulness has really evolved over the past 5 years. And for me in the last couple! Tuning in to our mind and body is remarkable and frankly, feels amazing. Anxiety and stress results when too many things are on our plate, commonly felt in the Fourth Trimester and umm just in life. So let’s erase the what if’s, pay attention to what is in front of us and focus on what we have control over in the given moment. I’m going to show you a quick easy exercise that is literally at your fingertips... perfect for moms, dads and for all of us living in this wonderful world called life.

Put your hand out in front of you and lift only your index finger. Pay attention to what speaks to you while asking the following questions.


1. What do I feel?
2. What do I see?
3. What do I hear?
4. What do I smell?
5. What do I taste?

Recognizing our five senses calms and soothes our mind and body while decreasing any unworthy thoughts that maybe whirling around.
