How to Prepare for Postpartum?
Mentally and emotionally. For so long our Mental Health has been brushed under the table. I think this is why Postpartum care has also been like “ok see you in 6 weeks!”
So hunnies, to help prepare you mentally and emotionally, understand that this time is made to be gentle. Take it easy, really. I think we have to begin by properly training our minds that we don’t need to go run all the errands, fold all the laundry, visit with all our fam and friends all at once ect. When our mind is set on these tasks when our bodies + mind are trying to adjust and heal during this monumental time, it is simply too much for us. Each postpartum story is unique and each mom fills her cup up with what best serves her, dads you too. But with this being said, just make sure to feed yourself with love, positive feedback and truly know, you are the absolute best mom for your baby <3
